Hardware Requirements
Before setting up LaundryVerse, make sure you have the following hardware ready.
Required
Tablet (POS Terminal)
Your main point-of-sale device where employees create orders, process payments, and manage the Kanban board.
- Recommended: Any Android or iPad tablet with a 10" or larger screen
- Browser: Chrome (recommended) or Safari
- Internet: Stable Wi-Fi connection
- Mounting: A tablet stand or wall mount at the counter is recommended for daily use
Thermal Receipt Printer
For printing customer receipts and QR labels that employees scan at each station.
- Connection: USB or Bluetooth (connected directly to the tablet)
- Supported widths: 58mm or 80mm paper rolls
- Recommended models: Any ESC/POS compatible thermal printer (e.g., Xprinter, Epson TM series)
Cash Drawer
For secure cash handling during shifts.
- Connection: RJ11 cable (connects to the thermal printer's kick port — the printer triggers the drawer to open automatically)
- Compatibility: Standard RJ11 cash drawers work with most thermal printers
Optional
Vault / Safe
For storing cash between shifts. LaundryVerse tracks vault deposits and withdrawals, but the physical vault is up to you.
Smartphones (for Stations)
Employees use their own smartphones to access Stations — the mobile interface for scanning QR labels and advancing laundry loads through each stage (wash → dry → pack → claim).
- Any modern smartphone with a camera and browser (Chrome or Safari)
- Internet: Wi-Fi or mobile data
- No app install needed — Stations runs in the browser and can be added to the home screen as a PWA
